ଗୋପୀନାଥପୁର ଠାରେ ୧୯୬୮ ମସିହା ଫେବୃଆରୀ ୩ତାରିଖ ସରସ୍ଵତୀ ପୂଜା ଦିନ ପ୍ରଥମକରି ପାଠଚକ୍ର ଆରମ୍ଭ ହେଲା। ୧୯୭୦ ମସିହାରେ ସେଠାରେ ଏକ ପାଠଚକ୍ର ଗୃହ ସ୍ଥାପନ କରାଗଲା। ସେହି ବର୍ଷ ଶ୍ରୀଅରବିନ୍ଦଙ୍କ ଦେହାଂଶ ପ୍ରଥମକରି ଜଗତସିଂହପୁରକୁ ବାବାଜୀ ମହାରାଜଙ୍କ ମାଧ୍ୟମରେ ଆସିଥିଲା। ବାବାଜୀ ମହାରାଜ ସେଠାରେ ଦେହାଂଶ ପ୍ରତିଷ୍ଠା କରି ଡିସେମ୍ବର ୧୦ତାରିଖରେ ଗୋପୀନାଥପୁର ଆସି ପାଠଚକ୍ର ଗୃହ ଉଦଘାଟନ କରିଥିଲେ। ସେଇ ଗୃହ ଉଦଘାଟନ ସମୟରେ ସେ ତାଙ୍କ ଭାଷଣ ଛଳରେ କହିଥିଲେ ଯେ "ଆଜି ଗୋଟିଏ ସାଧାରଣ ପାଠଚକ୍ର ଗୃହ ଉଦଘାଟନ ହେଲା ତାହା ନୁହେଁ, ଏହା ଏକ ବିରାଟ ରୂପ ଗ୍ରହଣ କରିବ। ଭବିଷ୍ୟତରେ ଏଠାରେ ସାଧକ ସାଧିକା ରହିବେ, ସାମୁହିକ ଭୋଜନାଳୟ ରହିବ। କୃଷି, ସାହିତ୍ୟ, ଶିଳ୍ପ ଏସବୁ କାର୍ଯ୍ୟକ୍ରମ ରହିବ, ଏହାର ପରିସର ବହୁତ୍ ବୃଦ୍ଧି ପାଇବ।" ସେତେବେଳେ ଏସବୁ କଥାର ମାହାତ୍ମ୍ୟ କେହି ଅନୁଭବ କରି ପାରି ନଥିଲେ, କେବଳ କଳ୍ପନା କରି ପାରୁଥିଲେ। 

୧୯୭୨ ମସିହା ଡିସେମ୍ବର ୫ ତାରିଖରେ ମା' ନିଜେ ତାଙ୍କ ରୁମ୍ ରୁ ଗୋପୀନାଥପୁର, କଟକର ମାତୃଭବନ ଓ ଭୁବନେଶ୍ଵରର ଶ୍ରୀଅରବିନ୍ଦ ଭବନକୁ Relics ପଠାଇଲେ । ଏହା ପୂଜ୍ୟ ବାବାଜୀ ମହାରାଜଙ୍କ ମାଧ୍ୟମରେ କାର୍ଯ୍ୟକାରୀ ହୋଇଥିଲା । ଡିସେମ୍ବର ୯ତାରିଖ ଦିନ ପ୍ରଥମେ ଗୋପୀନାଥ ପୁରରେ ସକାଳ ୮ଟା, ମାତୃଭବନ ରେ ଦିନ ୧୦ଟା ଓ ଶ୍ରୀଅରବିନ୍ଦ ଭବନରେ ଅପରାହ୍ନ ୪ଟା ବେଳେ Relics ପ୍ରତିଷ୍ଠା କରାଗଲା । ତା' ପରେ ପାଠଚକ୍ର ସଭ୍ୟମାନଙ୍କ ମିଳିତ ଚେଷ୍ଟା ଓ ଆର୍ଥିକ ସହାୟତାରେ ଗଢି ଉଠିଲା ଏକ ଖାଉଟି ଷ୍ଟୋର, ଯାହାର ନାମ 'Honesty'। ପାଠଚକ୍ର ସଭ୍ୟ ଓ ବଡ଼ ଭାଇ(ବୀର ଭାଇ) ଙ୍କ କେତେକ ବନ୍ଧୁ ଅଫିସ୍ କାମ ସାରି ମାଲଗୋଦାମରୁ ଜିନିଷ ନେଇ ଆସନ୍ତି। ଉଚ୍ଚ ମାନର ଜିନିଷ ଓ ଉଚିତ୍ ଦାମ ପାଇଁ ଏହାର ଖ୍ୟାତି ମଧ୍ୟ ବଢ଼ି ଚାଲିଲା। ଧୀରେ ଧୀରେ ତାହା ଗ୍ରାମ ତଥା ଅଞ୍ଚଳବାସୀଙ୍କର ବିଶ୍ଵସ୍ତ ତେଜରାତି ଦୋକାନ ହୋଇଗଲା। ଆଜି ସୁଦ୍ଧା ଏଇ ଖାଉଟି ଭଣ୍ଡାର- "ମା'ଙ୍କ ଦୋକାନ" ଭାବେ ଆଖ ପାଖ ଗ୍ରାମବାସୀଙ୍କର ଏକ ଆଦରର ଓ ବିଶ୍ୱାସନୀୟ ଭଣ୍ଡାର ହୋଇ ରହିଛି। ପୂର୍ବରୁ ଖୋଲା ହୋଇଥିବା 'Sri Aurobindo Sales society' ମଧ୍ୟ ପର୍ଯ୍ୟାୟକ୍ରମେ ତା'ର ପରିସର ବୃଦ୍ଧି କରି ପାରିଛି। Pondicherryରୁ ମିଳୁଥିବା ମା'ଙ୍କ photo, ମା'ଙ୍କ ବହି, ମା'ଙ୍କ କପଡା, ଲକେଟ୍ ଇତ୍ୟାଦି ଏଠାରେ ମାତୃପ୍ରେମୀ ସନ୍ତାନଙ୍କ ପାଇଁ ଉପଲବ୍ଧ ଅଟେ। ୧୯୭୪ ଅଗଷ୍ଟ ୪ ତାରିଖରେ "Sri Aurobindo Centre of Integral Education Gopinathpur, Cuttack" ବିଦ୍ୟାଳୟ ସ୍ଥାପନ କରାଗଲା ।  

ଚାଷ କାର୍ଯ୍ୟ: ପ୍ରଗତି ନିବାସ ହଷ୍ଟେଲ ପରିସରରେ ବର୍ତ୍ତମାନ ବିଭିନ୍ନ ପ୍ରକାର ଗଛ ଲଗାଯାଇଛି । ଏଇ ଚାଷ କାର୍ଯ୍ୟ ବିନା କିଛି ସାର ପ୍ରୟୋଗ ରେ କରାଯାଉଛି। କେବଳ ଖତ ଓ ଇୟୁରିଆର ପ୍ରୟୋଗରେ ତାହା ସମ୍ପାଦନା ହେଉଛି। ଋତୁ ଅନୁଯାୟୀ ବିଭିନ୍ନ ପନିପରିବା ଉତ୍ପାଦନ ହେଉଛି। ମୁଖ୍ୟତଃ କୋବି ଫସଲ ବହୁତ୍ ଭଲ ଭାବେ ହେଇ ପାରୁଛି। ଅନ୍ୟାନ୍ୟ ଫସଲ ଯଥା ସାରୁ, ଆଳୁ, କଖାରୁ, ଧନିଆ, ଶାଗ, ନଡ଼ିଆ ଇତ୍ୟାଦି କରାଯାଉଛି। ନିକଟରେ ଏକ ପୋଖରୀଟିଏ ମଧ୍ୟ ରହିଛି। ୨ବର୍ଷ ପୂର୍ବେ ସେଠାରେ ମତ୍ସ୍ୟଚାଷ ମଧ୍ୟ କରାଯାଉଥିଲା। କିନ୍ତୁ ବର୍ତ୍ତମାନ ସେଠାରେ ଲାଲ ପଦ୍ମ ପତ୍ରର ପରିମାଣ ବଢି ଯିବାରୁ ଚାଷ କରିବା ସମ୍ଭବ ହେଉନାହିଁ। କିନ୍ତୁ ସେଇ ପରିବେଶକୁ ବେଶ୍ ଉପଭୋଗ୍ୟ କରାଯାଇଛି। ସେଠାରେ ଶାଗୁଆନ୍ ଗଛ ଲଗାଯାଇ ସ୍ଥାନଟି କୁ ମନୋରମ କରାଯାଇଛି। ଏସବୁର ମୁଖ୍ୟ ଦାୟିତ୍ଵରେ ବର୍ତ୍ତମାନ ସୁଲୋଚନା ଅପା ରହିଛନ୍ତି। ଏବଂ ସେ ଚାଷ କାର୍ଯ୍ୟ ଶିଖାଇବା ନିମନ୍ତେ ପିଲାମାନଙ୍କୁ ନିୟୋଜିତ କରାନ୍ତି। Auro Orchard ରେ ବିଭିନ୍ନ ଲୋକ ମାନଙ୍କୁ ଦାୟିତ୍ଵ ଦିଆ ଯାଇ ବାଇଗଣ, ଜହ୍ନି, କାକୁଡି ଆଦି ଫସଲ ହୁଏ। ମା' ଙ୍କ ଅହେତୁକ କୃପାରୁ ଏହିପରି ଭାବେ ଅନୁଷ୍ଠାନର ଆଉ ଏକ ବିଭାଗ "ଚାଷ କାର୍ଯ୍ୟ" ସୂଚାରୁରୂପେ ଚାଲୁଅଛି।

ଗୋପାଳନ: ଗୋଶାଳାରେ ବର୍ତ୍ତମାନ ୫ଟି ଗାଈ, ୨ଟି ଛଡା ଓ ଗୋଟିଏ ବାଛୁରୀ ଅଛନ୍ତି। ଦିନକୁ ପ୍ରାୟ ୨୫ରୁ ୩୦ଲିଟର ପର୍ଯ୍ୟନ୍ତ ଦୁଗ୍ଧ ଗାଈଙ୍କ ଠୁଁ ମିଳୁଛି। ସେଥିରୁ ଛେନା, ଦହି, ଲବଣୀ, ଘିଅ ଆଦି ଉତ୍ପନ ହେଉଛି। ଦୁଗ୍ଧର ପରିମାଣ ବଢ଼ିଲେ ସାମୟିକ ଭାବେ ବାହାରକୁ ବିକ୍ରି କରାଯାଏ। ବର୍ତ୍ତମାନ ଚାଲୁ ରହିଥିବା ଗୋପାଳନ କାର୍ଯ୍ୟ ବାନା ଭାଇଙ୍କ ଦାୟିତ୍ଵରେ ପରିଚାଳିତ ହେଉଛି। ସେଥିରେ ସହଯୋଗୀ ଭାବରେ ନୀରୁ ଅପା କାମ କରୁଛନ୍ତି। ପିଲାମାନଙ୍କୁ ମଧ୍ୟ ଗୋପାଳନ କାର୍ଯ୍ୟ କିଛି ପରିମାଣରେ ଶିଖାଇ ଦିଆ ହେଉଛି।

ଏତତବ୍ୟତୀତ ଗୋପୀନାଥପୁର ସାଧନା କେନ୍ଦ୍ରରେ ଧୂପକାଠି, ମହମବତୀ, ମିଠା ଆମ୍ବ ଆଚାର, ଖଟା ଲେମ୍ବୁ ଆଚାର, କାଜୁ Toffee ଆଦି ତିଆରି କରା ଯାଉଛି ।   

 

 

At Gopinathpur, the first study circle was started on 3rd February 1968, on the day of Saraswati Puja. In 1970, a study circle building was established there. In the same year, Sri Aurobindo’s sacred relics first came to Jagatsinghpur through Babaji Maharaj. Babaji Maharaj installed the relics there and on December 10 visited Gopinathpur to inaugurate the study circle building. During the inauguration, he said in his speech: “Today it is not merely the inauguration of an ordinary study circle house; it will take on a vast form. In the future, sadhaks and sadhikas will reside here, there will be a community dining hall. Activities related to agriculture, literature, and arts will flourish here, and its scope will greatly expand.” At that time, no one could truly realize the significance of these words; they could only imagine them.

On December 5, 1972, the Mother herself sent relics from her room to Gopinathpur, Matrubhawan in Cuttack, and Sri Aurobindo Bhawan in Bhubaneswar. This was carried out through revered Babaji Maharaj. On December 9, the relics were installed first at Gopinathpur at 8:00 a.m., at Matru Bhavan at 10:00 a.m., and at Sri Aurobindo Bhavan at 4:00 p.m. Later, through the combined efforts and financial contributions of the study circle members, a grocery store named “Honesty” was established. Study circle members and some friends of Bada Bhai (Veer Bhai) would bring goods from the warehouse after finishing their office work. Due to high-quality products and reasonable prices, its reputation steadily grew. Gradually, it became a trusted grocery store for the village and surrounding areas. Even today, this grocery store, lovingly known as “Mother’s Shop”, remains a reliable and respected store for nearby villagers. The previously established “Sri Aurobindo Sales Society” has also gradually expanded its scope. Items received from Pondicherry such as the Mother’s photographs, books, clothes, lockets, etc., are available here for devotees. On August 4, 1974, the school “Sri Aurobindo Centre of Integral Education, Gopinathpur, Cuttack” was established.

Agricultural Activities: In the Pragati Nivas hostel campus, various types of plants are currently cultivated. The farming is carried out without the use of chemical fertilizers; only manure and urea are applied. Seasonal vegetables are produced according to the time of year. Cabbage crops grow particularly well. Other crops such as arum (taro), potatoes, pumpkin, coriander, leafy greens, coconut, etc., are also cultivated. There is also a pond nearby. Two years ago, fish farming was practiced there. However, due to the excessive growth of red lotus leaves, fish farming is currently not possible. Still, the environment has been made very pleasant. Teak trees have been planted to beautify the area. At present, Sulochana Apa is mainly responsible for these activities. She also engages the children and teaches them agricultural work. In the Auro Orchard, different individuals are assigned responsibilities for cultivating brinjal, ridge gourd, cucumber, and other crops. By the Mother’s boundless grace, this agricultural department of the institution is running smoothly.

Dairy Farm: At present, there are five cows, two bulls, and one calf in the cowshed. Approximately 25 to 30 liters of milk are obtained daily. From this milk, chhena (cottage cheese), curd, butter, and ghee are produced. When the quantity of milk increases, it is temporarily sold outside. The dairy farm activities are currently managed under the responsibility of Bana Bhai, with assistance from Neeru Apa. Children are also given some training in cow care. Apart from these, at the Gopinathpur Sadhana Centre, incense sticks, candles, sweet mango pickle, sour lemon pickle, cashew toffee, and other items are prepared.
